After shooting Brianna & Matt’s Downtown Fort Myers Engagement Session last year, I knew that their springtime Alderman House wedding would be such a blast! These two are friendly, free-spirited, and are absolute pros at trusting me to bring their story to life with my camera, which made their wedding day just as fun as their engagement session. I am so impressed at how smoothly their wedding day went from start to finish, and can’t wait to share the images with you!
Brianna & Matt’s Spring Wedding at The Alderman House
How they met
In their engagement blog post, I highlighted how Brianna and Matt’s paths first crossed while both working to save lives; she’s a firefighter/paramedic, and he’s a sheriff’s officer. Talk about a power couple! They became fast friends, started dating, got engaged, and planned their dream springtime wedding in Fort Myers. They’re one of the best couples I’ve ever worked with. Their relaxed attitude makes it easy to capture their beauty in any situation, ensuring their wedding day would be fantastic. When I arrived at the venue on their big day, I knew it would be incredible!
A beautiful modern-chic theme with dreamy blush tones
Brianna and Matt had a beautiful wedding at Alderman House, blending soft blush tones, elegant details, and Spanish architecture. They wisely let the venue’s beauty shine, enhancing it with minimalist florals and decorations. Brianna’s blush accessories and bridesmaids’ pink dresses complemented the gold and green accents. Their meticulous planning showed in the clean invitations, ceremony adorned with greenery and white roses, and the garden-party-style reception. Their thoughtful approach created a stunning, modern-chic atmosphere without overwhelming the venue. I think it’s safe to say that their vision was executed perfectly!
(P.S. a minimalist color palette of green, white, gold, and pink will always look great with Florida’s greenery and vibrant flowers!)
A private vows & gift exchange
After getting ready with their closest friends, Brianna and Matt shared a special moment before the alter. They exchanged heartfelt personal vows privately, without seeing each other. Listening to their heartfelt personal vows was a truly special moment, and it was even more emotional because they hadn’t locked eyes just yet. They exchanged gifts – Matt gave Brianna a pearl necklace, and she surprised him with a boudoir photo album. I love when couples make their wedding morning their own; sometimes that looks like having personal vows, sometimes it might be a first touch or a gift exchange in separate rooms, waiting until the aisle to see each other.

We truly could not have asked for a more beautiful Florida day for this wedding in Fort Myers! I took some beautiful photos of Brianna and Matt before their ceremony in the sunny, palm tree-filtered light. The sunlight created stunning shadows on the lawn, making Brianna’s white gown and white rose bouquet stand out. We snapped individual portraits of them looking regal in their elegant wedding attire and plenty of photos of them together! What a stunning couple, I barely needed to direct them as they were total naturals in front of the camera. We explored every nook and cranny of this stunning venue, making the most of the Mediterranean style & Spanish architecture elevated by their modern theme.

It’s no surprise that Brianna and Matt’s ceremony was absolutely breathtaking. They tied the knot under a beautiful set of arches, with their family and friends in the audience. The sun made them both shine in front of a beautiful white building. They were surrounded by their wedding party, clear blue skies, and palm trees swaying in the breeze. I will never get enough of this unreal venue and all the amazing spaces it has to offer!
A dreamy reception beneath the trees
Once we had taken tons of fun portraits of Brianna & Matt with their loved ones, everyone made their way into the reception area for a breathtaking evening under the blue Florida skies (and plenty of twinkle lights). Every detail that covered the tables was perfectly on-theme, and the space was perfect for eating, drinking, dancing, mingling, and lots of hugging. They ended the night with a yummy cake cutting, a rockin’ dance floor, and a magical sparkler exit to send them off into their newly married life! What a perfect way to end an amazing day!
